Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Keeping it all running

For End Users and System Integrators the avoidance of downtime is critical, systems involving dual redundant schemes, high availability servers, OEE calculations, KPI's and more are used to focus upon and ensure uptime - keeping everything running and not losing valuable data. It has long been recognised that the most expensive item that is manufactured is "downtime", with consequential costs that often far outweigh the cost of the faulty component or the cost of avoiding the problem in the first place.

One of the major reasons for downtime is loss of mains power or equipment damage or malfunction owing to mains disturbance (spikes, noise, surges etc.). Protection from all ten forms of mains disturbance is provided by an on-line Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

A UPS will protect all hardware that it supplies from damaging effects that could completely destroy electronic hardware or could cause premature failure through low quality industrial mains supply. Some mains effects put data integrity at risk - this is especially critical in regulated industries, where data loss has the consequence that product has to be scrapped.

A total mains blackout is something that has been experienced by all, it instantly stops everything for an indeterminate period, tension and uncertainty amass as time ticks on; and restarting complex sequences and processes from a cold start can be very time consuming.

A SPower UPS from HardwarePT will continuously protect your equipment and allow orderly shutdown of systems even if the mains supply has failed (or will bridge the problem until supply is restored). Systems are available in both tower and rack mount formats with integrated batteries and battery extensions - both single phase and three phase. Solutions are available for workstations, servers, networks and heavier loads such as critical inverter drives.
